2022 Branding

  • The Radiant Blur While we have always owned the “UM red,” we have expanded our color gamut to include ‘all the reds’—a natural progression reflective of our community’s commitment to being inclusive and optimistic. It also communicates our transformation orientation in this ever-changing marketplace: We help our clients shape their vision of the future and deliver on it in actual outcomes for their business. The Radiant Blur is a visual metaphor for these future journeys and the potential they hold.
  • Typography: In a world of increased automation and machine learning, we have shifted our fonts from Gotham to the more clean, useful and, importantly, humanistic fonts: Poppins and Open Sans. Both fonts were chosen for their effortless elegance, taking cues from the origins of typesetting and cursive alike.
  • Visual dynamic: As a forward-focused organization, we created a brand style with an aesthetic that is inherently driven, reflecting forward movement and momentum. It features subtle animation to exhibit, literally, an experience of motion. With design style and philosophy closely linked, there can be no doubt about the commitment to our “now and next” Futureproof UM thinking.

Before we dive into the materials, it is critical that you first download our new fonts HERE . It’s necessary to have the right fonts to use the templates properly and create documents that adhere to the new brand style guidelines.

Next, we are introducing a new suite of brand assets, which you can download HERE, as well as our comprehensive Style Guide HERE. The Style Guide is extremely important and contains all the information about how to use these assets and create beautiful layouts for UM documents or when you are designing a product or an event in UM’s new brand style.

The Style Guide provides basic information on graphic design principles and explains how they are applied within the UM brand style, specifically. The Style Guide also covers technical aspects like which colors need to be used, color values, font families, logos, etc.—information that will be necessary when engaging third parties like printers or designers. Proprietary logos, icons or fonts in the Style Guide feature a download link to a master file from the asset library.
